Please read the following important technical points before placing an order:

  1. We prefer to accept JPEG images when delivered electronically.
TIFF, BMP, PNG, PSD and any other uncompressed images will take much longer for you to send, therefore should be supplied on CD, DVD USB stick or Memory Card via the postal service.
  2. Please ensure your JPEG images are as high quality as possible. JPEG images can be saved with compression quality settings from 1 (low) to 12 (very high). The closer to 12 (or Highest or Best) the better. This still represents a considerable reduction in file size over a TIFF equivalent. Anything over 80% - or 10 - is usually fine for us to work with. We will normally send the image back to you at this quality. Please note: if you have an image saved at a lower quality, afterwards saving at a higher quality will make no difference. JPEG compression is a lossy process, unlike using WinZip, which is loss-less.
  3. Please do NOT reduce the physical pixel size of your images. We prefer to work on the full size image taken by your camera. Any reduction in image size may cause problems when printing. Keep in mind that 300 pixels = about 1 inch of printed photo. If you scan it to, say, 3000 pixels then it should print to about 10”.
  4. We deliver all images to you electronically. You are responsible for printing any images we have edited.
  5. Please do NOT edit your images, in any way, prior to sending to us. Some processes can't be undone.
  6. Each email should NOT exceed 10Mb. Our emails will accept larger attachments, however, yours may not be able to send emails over 10Mb. We would prefer you please use our Upload service as this will accept deliveries up to 2 GB in size.
  7. CDs or DVDs should formatted to be read on a PC. If you are creating a CD on a Mac this should not be a problem.
  8. We’re happy to received USB sticks and most standard memory cards. We have universal card readers but can not be held responsible for any format which proves unreadable upon receipt by us.
  9. Send physical photos, or electronic storage media to:
    John Durrant
    Doctor Photo
    23 Clinton Close
    Knaphill, Woking
    GU21 2AL

Doctor-Photo helps estate agents and others who don’t have the time or skill to make their images better once they’re out of the camera.
Yet there’s no such thing as a digital photo that can’t be improved by post-processing in Photoshop.
